President of Portugal Marcelo Rebel de Souza on Thursday appointed Luis Montenery, who repeats in his post and is the leader of the Coalition of the Democratic Alliance in the center of the Center (AD), the winner of the legislative elections.
Rebelo de Sousa announced in her statement about the appointment, after she met separately with Montenegro and the leaders of the other two main parties, the presidents of the Socialist Party (PS), Carlos Sesar and the Ultra -Prait -Chega, Andre Ventura.
“In the light of the results of the elections in the Assembly of the Republic, after listening to the political parties presented in it, in accordance with the constitutional conditions and after ensuring the parliamentary viability of the new executive director, the president of the republic was today appointed by Dr. Luis, the Prime Minister of the 25th Constitutional Government,” the note says.
The text adds that the appointment of the executive branch and its investment will occur after publishing the final election results on May 18, in the official newspaper, and after the installation of a new parliament.
After the imprisonment of the votes of the Portuguese abroad, AD, Montenegro, was the first in legislation with 31.21% of the vote and 91 places, far from the absolute majority, which are 116 deputies.
Chega proclaimed the leader of the opposition with 60 places and 22.76% of the vote, while PS has 58 places and reached 22.83%.
On Thursday, Ventura and Cesar were informed “rebels de Souza”, which will not interfere with the formation of the government of Montenegro or will not support any petition to abandon their program during debates in parliament.
For the future executive director, it will be necessary to completely overcome the debate of his program at a one -time meeting of the republic (parliament) without any movement of refusal of prosperity.
