The first round of the presidential elections is being held in Romania.
Oku.Az TASS reports that this was reported by the head of the Permanent Electoral Administration, Tony Greble.
According to him, some 19,000 polling stations have been opened in the country and voting continues in polling stations abroad.
The head of the administration clarified that so far the vote has taken place without incident.
The favorite in the presidential race is the leader of the Social Democratic Party, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolaku.
If neither candidate receives the 50%+1 vote required to win, a runoff between the two candidates with the most votes will be held on December 8.
