The amount of travel expenses for members of the Organizing Committee for COP29 events has been determined.
Oku.Az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a decision on this matter.
According to the decision, in connection with the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the 19th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol and the 6th session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement in Baku, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2024. Members of the Organizing Committee established by Order No. 4264 of January 13, as well as members of the delegation of responsible representatives formed by the President of these countries. sessions for the preparation of the COP29 events in New York, Washington, Geneva, Davos, Rio in 2024-2025 – when traveling to the cities of Janeiro, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Tokyo, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Vienna, Singapore, Nuku’alofa, in addition to the daily norm of travel expenses an additional 50 percent of the daily norm of travel expenses determined for these cities is paid.”
This Decision is applicable from 1 August 2024.
