The Moscow Garrison Military Court extended the prison sentence of former lawyer Elman Pashayev, accused of numerous frauds.
Oku.Az TASS was informed of this by the court.
“By the decision of the Moscow Garrison Military Court, the request of the investigative body regarding the extension of the preventive measure against the accused Pashayev until January 15 was accepted,” the information says.
At the request of military investigators, the detention period was extended.
Pashayev was detained by a military court in mid-September and is accused of defrauding more than 46 million rubles (about 794,000 manats). According to the investigation, for this money he promised to exempt Aleksey Blinovsky from criminal liability for tax evasion. Investigators questioned three witnesses in the former lawyer’s case.
