Private insurers have not submitted bids for the Muface concert for the years 2025 and 2026, which remains zero, while waiting for the Government to propose a new call for tenders to guarantee health and social coverage for 1.5 million of civil servants and their families. At the beginning of October, the Executive approved an increase in the premium of 17%, which, given the response from companies, proves insufficient to continue offering the service.
Muface indicated this Tuesday that “both holders and beneficiaries will continue to receive the same health care they benefit from under current conditions”. “Medical and health care will be maintained under current conditions,” insists the mutual.
Following the refusal of the main insurers to participate in the call for tenders proposed by the Executive under current conditions, Muface indicates that “it will begin work on a new call for tenders”. In the current one, which the previous companies that provided the service – Adeslas, Asisa and DKV – rejected, the Ministry of Civil Service proposed a total amount of more than 1,337 million euros for the first year and 1 345 million euros for the second, with a total half-yearly increase of 304 million euros compared to the last year of validity of the previous agreement. The average premium per mutualist was around 1,032.12 euros this year and 1,208.81 in 2026.
