Today, November 21, the Soyuz-2.1a rocket launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome placed the Progress MS-29 freighter into low-Earth orbit.
The departure took place at 15:22 Moscow time. The spacecraft’s flight to the International Space Station will last two days and docking with the Poisk module of the Russian segment of the ISS is scheduled for November 23 at 17:36 Moscow time.
It will deliver 1,155 kilograms of dry cargo for the crew and station systems, 869 kilograms of fuel for refueling, 420 kilograms of drinking water and 43 kilograms of nitrogen to replenish the ISS atmosphere.
Progress also carries equipment and materials for experiments on the study of the gastrointestinal tract, the study of the interaction of microvessels and body tissues, the collection of data on the dynamics of interaction between crew members, testing of a system to regenerate water from urine, growing crystals, studying neutrons and 3D printing.

This is the 14th launch of a Russian launch vehicle in 2024, including the seventh from Baikonur and the fourth from the Progress spacecraft. This flight was the 72nd for Soyuz-2.1a and the 182nd for the Progress family spacecraft in history (of which 93 went to the ISS).
