Prosecutor’s Office supports Ábalos and denounces “revelation of secrets” in “Koldo case” due to leaks

The Madrid Provincial Prosecutor’s Office has filed a complaint for the crimes of discovery and disclosure of secrets suffered by José Luis Ábalos due to the leak of his personal data contained in the summary of the “Koldo case”.

It was the former Minister of Transport himself who, last June, reported these events to the Public Prosecutor’s Office. However, according to the documents that EL ESPAÑOL has had access to, the Public Prosecutor’s Office granted his request on August 12 and filed a complaint.

Now, the Court of Instruction number 33 of Madrid will continue the procedure. Ábalos has designated the Ministry of the Interior as responsible by commission or omission for the leak of the former minister’s personal data.

The former PSOE organisation secretary stressed in his writing that he was not being investigated in the “Koldo case” and that, despite this, there was a “systematic publication of the information contained in the judicial process”.

Ábalos claimed that they had been “deprived of their rights to privacy and honor.” He also denounced the subsequent use of leaks and called the whole thing a “media circus.”

In addition to the Interior for their “negligence” or “commission of a crime”, Ábalos indicated that the people who must keep this information are “public officials” of the Ministry of Justice headed by Félix Bolaños, the “investigation unit”, the UCO, and “the corresponding court”.

The former minister expressed his complaint about the leak of his private data, as well as his emails to the press, as they were disclosed without any filter in the summary of the “Koldo affair”.
