Several organizations integrated into the State Network of Solidarity with Palestine (RESCOP) have called for protests across Spain against the genocide in Gaza after a year of open war by Israel.

This weekend, just one year after the start of Israel’s brutal offensive on Gaza, in which nearly 42,000 people died, the State Network of Solidarity with Palestine (RESCOP) called for protests in all of Spain to once again demand an arms embargo from the government. on Israel and other measures aimed at ending the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip.
“We need effective measures to end the genocide. The inaction of the international community gives Israel the feeling of impunity. Silence fuels the regime of impunity from which Israel enjoys. This sets a very dangerous precedent not only for Palestine but for the international order,” defended Saida Gosh, president of the Hispanic Palestinian Community of Jerusalem.
From the BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) movement, Nadwa Hashash declared during the presentation of the demonstrations that “we cannot be indifferent to the enormous suffering of the Palestinian population, particularly in the Gaza Strip”. The activist regretted this Tuesday that the Spanish delegation did not stand up at the UN General Assembly when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke, just as representatives of other countries did.

Among the provincial capitals, the demonstrations stand out in Cádiz, on Saturday October 5 at 12:00 p.m., starting from the Plaza de Asdrúbal, in Córdoba, on Sunday 6 at 12:00 p.m., with a rally at the Tree of Resistance. of the Palestinian people, in Granada on Saturday 5 at 6 p.m. from the Triunfo Gardens or in Seville on Monday 7 at 7 p.m. from Plaza Nueva.
Demonstrations are also planned in Jaén on the 7th at 8 p.m. in the Plaza de Santa María or in Malaga on October 6 at 12 p.m., the meeting place still to be determined.
