PSG concedes a draw in Nice

At the end of an uneven match, Paris Saint-Germain tied (1-1) in Nice on Sunday, October 6, at the end of day 7.my League 1 matchday.

On the eve of the international break, the current French champion, with 17 points, fell to second place in the championship behind Monaco and its 19 points. They are ahead of OM and Reims, who have 14 points each.

But the draw seems like a lesser evil after a hectic week marked by Ousmane Dembélé’s suspension for one match for misconduct and Arsenal’s first defeat of the season in the Champions League (2-0).

After a feverish first half, Luis Enrique achieved a tactical change at half-time, while Nice took a 1-0 lead after a magnificent shot by Ali Abdi was deflected into his own goal by the Portuguese Nuno Mendes (38′).my).

By replacing Randal Kolo Muani, who did not take a single shot during the entire first half, with Lee Kang-in at half-time, the Spanish coach prevented his team from suffering a second consecutive defeat, after the one suffered on Tuesday in London in the final Champions League.

Located lower than the French international, the South Korean, as soon as he came into play, disorganized the defense of Nice, imperial in the first half, and allowed his team to regain the advantage.

Dembélé returns

By relieving his midfielders, Lee favored the promotion of Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembélé. After forty-five minutes of harmlessness, Paris immediately created danger in the goal of Marcin Bulka, Nice goalkeeper, former PSG.

In a corner played in two halves by the Parisians, Dembélé fixed the Nice defense and found Nuno Mendes whose shot, deflected this time by Moïse Bombito, deceived Bulka on his right (1-1, 52).my).

Once again in control of their game, Paris pushed for victory, but ran into a vigilant Bulka and a Nice defense that was able to readjust after ten minutes of hesitation at the beginning of the second half.

A Parisian victory would not have reflected the appearance of a match in which Nice did well. Hardly defeated on Thursday in the Europa League by Lazio in Rome (4-1), the Niçois recovered at home and occupy ninth placemy place.

The two teams that are still recovering will be able to breathe during the first break of this season’s championship. During matchday eight, on October 19, Paris will host Strasbourg to try to get back in front of Monaco.
