He called on the government to be wary to cope with the calamity victims and soften the disaster.
“The state should be present when its citizens experience a catastrophe. The government must be on the guard to cope with natural disasters and help residents who are victims. As in the form of refugee camps, logistics assistance and emergency evacuation in order to ensure the safety of citizens, ”said Puan Maharani in his statement on Monday (3/3/2025).
PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) politician asked the local government to provide the latest information and take additional steps in order to maintain the safety and comfort of the inhabitants in the midst of this emergency.
Puan also expressed deep sadness for the fall of the dead in a number of disasters in Indonesia. He emphasized that the presence of the state in the management of natural disasters should be proactive, structured and based on the real needs of the community.
“There should be a system that moves on the field, combs vulnerable groups, finding potential infectious diseases and guarantees that all refugees receive proper protection, including access to clean water, nutritious food and safe beds,” he said.
