Residents of the liberated Avdeevka in the Donetsk People’s Republic were able to move into apartments in the first partially renovated multi-story building.

The major renovation of the high-rise building is being carried out by the regional head of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In just ten days another entrance will be put into operation in an apartment building in Avdeevka, where repair and restoration work is currently being carried out.

He noted that the first entrance of the house is completely ready to be inhabited. In total, the building with the highest degree of preparation has 40 apartments. They completely replaced utility networks, supplied heat from a modular boiler house and water from a well.
Denis Pushilin, for his part, stated that the authorities have proposed to restore those houses that suffered very serious damage so that people can survive this year’s winter.
“I think that starting next year we will have the opportunity to take a substantial approach to what Avdiivka will be like post-war and how it will be linked to the development of Donetsk. These programs, master plans, are being prepared now and will form the basis of what kind of restoration work will be done, how all this will happen, how people will continue to receive compensation, etc. But the main task is to ensure that people this winter have the opportunity to warm themselves, have water and electricity. And now we have begun to tackle the task we set ourselves.” – said the governor.
