Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about bad language, noting its prevalence and classification as a sin by the church.
The video is published by the Telegram channel “Ateo Breaking”.
“Bad words, bad words, unfortunately, this is also part of our language. There is no escape from this… Unfortunately, it is a very widespread sin,” said the Russian president.
Putin, remembering his parents, also said that before Russians did not say bad words at all, because Russians are “deeply religious.”
He proposed improving culture and education to combat bad words.
“By improving the general culture, we must certainly improve the culture of language, the culture of speech,” Putin added.
The statement sparked heated discussions online: some users received it with sarcasm, others with bewilderment.
The comments included humorous and critical statements such as “Pushkin would be surprised” and “let the president visit an ordinary courtyard.”

It is not the first time that the head of the Kremlin has encountered difficulties when pronouncing the names of foreign leaders. He had previously made mistakes when pronouncing the name of the President of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, which also did not go unnoticed.
