Putin presents Kim Jong-un with a new batch of Orelian trotters – The Times

Russian President Vladimir Putin has presented 24 Oryol trotting horses to the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-un.

The British edition of The Times writes about this and notes that this small herd, consisting of 19 stallions and five mares, was sent by rail, crossing the narrow land border with the Primorsky Territory.

The newspaper notes that this is not the first time that the Russian leader has gifted horses to Kim Jong-un. The previous batch, consisting of three dozen animals, was sent to Pyongyang in 2022.

“Kim Jong-un has received a new shipment of horses from Russia, the latest sign of the growing closeness between the North Korean leader and President Putin,” — indicate the authors of the material.

They draw attention to the fact that the leader of the DPRK began to appear more and more often in propaganda photos riding Orel trotters.

The Primorsky branch of Rosselkhoznadzor has already confirmed that the shipment of horses entered the territory of the DPRK through the Khasan railway checkpoint. The department’s officials monitored the export of Oryol trotters to North Korea.

Previously EADaily North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has ordered the active development and increased production of various types of drones for military needs.
