The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the Kremlin does not disclose the content of negotiations between political leaders, commenting on Donald Trump’s statements about threats against Russia.
According to Peskov, Moscow maintains the position that talks at the highest level must remain confidential. He regretted that not all world leaders follow such practices and noted that the violation of “information hygiene” remains on his conscience.
Let us remember that Peskov’s statement followed the words of Trump, who the day before said that he had threatened the Russian president with an attack on Moscow if the aggression against Ukraine continued.
Trump claimed that he spoke to Vladimir Putin about a possible attack and added that he did not want to resort to such measures, given their good relationship.
However, the former US president stressed that “he would have no choice.” Trump did not reveal details of this conversation, including the timing and circumstances.
