“Russia has been forced to hand over Syria and even Bashar Assad’s regime to Türkiye. There are enough dubious points to make such a claim.”
This was stated by the head of the Baku TV department, journalist Turan Ibrahimov, when commenting on the processes taking place in Syria.
According to him, the Russian and Turkish media tried some time ago to set the agenda on Syria:
“In addition, Turkey and Russia were accusing each other, which created the impression that there was tension between them. Sergei Lavrov’s opinions in the interview with the Hurriyet newspaper, Turkey’s statements on Ukraine that are not in line with Russia’s interests , etc. In the context of all these processes we realized that Aleppo was captured by the group supported by Turkey,” the journalist added.
Regarding Russia being forced to hand over Syria to Türkiye, T. Ibrahimov stated:
“Turkey began a process to meet and reach an agreement with Bashar al-Assad. Russia was also interested in it. It seems that Vladimir Putin could not convince Bashar al-Assad. Thus, both his word fell to the ground and his outstretched hand By Recep Tayyip Erdogan was left in the air. After that, ideas began to spread that Russia, which interfered in Ukraine, had accepted that Turkey should monitor the processes in Syria.
