Putin to meet elected governors

After elections in Russian regions, it is traditional for Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet with elected governors, the date of which will be announced, Press Secretary to the Head of State Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti.

“This has traditionally happened and it will happen this time too. We will let you know when it happens.” – Peskov said.

From 6 to 8 September, elections at various levels were held in Russia – about four thousand in total. Heads of administrations were elected in 21 regions: the Altai Republic, Bashkiria, Kalmykia, the Transbaikal Territories, Stavropol and Khabarovsk Territories, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Kurgan, Kursk, Lipetsk, Murmansk, Orenburg, Samara, Sakhalin, Tula, Chelyabinsk, Kemerovo and St. Petersburg regions. In the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Ingushetia, Crimea and Kabardino-Balkaria, regional parliaments elected their heads.

According to the CCA, after processing 100% of the votes, the following candidates have won the gubernatorial elections:

in the Altai Republic – acting head of the region Andrei Turchak (74.09% of the votes);

in the Trans-Baikal Territory – Governor Alexander Osipov (82.27%);

in the Khabarovsk Territory – acting governor Dmitry Demeshin (81.03%);

in the Vologda region – acting governor Georgy Filimonov (62.3%);

in the Kaliningrad region – acting head of the region Alexey Besprozvannykh (76.55%);

in the Murmansk region – the current governor Andrey Chibis (73.99%);

in the Orenburg region – head of the region Denis Pasler (78.14%);

in the Samara region – acting governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev (79.56%);

in the Kursk region – acting governor Alexei Smirnov (65.28%);

in Sakhalin – head of the region Valery Limarenko (80.79%);

in the Kemerovo region – acting governor Ilya Seredyuk (78.38%);

in the Kurgan region – the current governor Vadim Shumkov (85.17%);

in the Lipetsk region – head of the region Igor Artamonov (81.16%);

in the Chelyabinsk region – governor Alexey Teksler (81.28%).

In addition, according to preliminary data, the current head of the republic is in the lead in Bashkiria.
