In terms of patriotic education in schools, it is important to avoid excesses. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a video conference with the finalists of all-Russian professional competitions in the field of education.
“Everything should be in moderation, that’s the first thing. Secondly, everything must be sincere, objective and intelligible.” – said the head of state.
At the same time, he emphasized that basic moral values must be instilled in children from a very early age.
Putin also highlighted the importance of teaching history, as it seems that previously someone was deliberately trying to educate young people in Russia by not including important things from Russian history in the school curriculum.
“The work is already being built. But before, school textbooks talked about everything related to the Second World War, but the Battle of Stalingrad was barely mentioned. It’s weird, you know? “Simply incredible” – said the president.
Putin is also sure that it is extremely important to guide young people in the information space, since it is very difficult for a young person to navigate alone.
