Qatar to allocate $4.5 million to help residents of Gaza Strip

Oku.Az Al-Arabiya reports that an agreement has been signed between the Qatar Red Crescent, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East and the Qatar Fund for Development.

The funds are intended to support 4,400 Palestinian workers from the Gaza Strip, as well as residents of the enclave who came to the West Bank for medical care before the conflict and were unable to return home.

“The cash assistance will be a vital support for displaced people who have been unable to return to the Gaza Strip since the conflict in October last year,” the statement said.
