Quart de Poblet Town Hall (Valencia) will begin work on the reconstruction of the Masia d’Espí industrial zonewhich was affected by DANA, after previous work which allowed it to establish a concrete action plan, and with the objective that companies can resume their activity “as soon as possible“and avoid job losses.
The town has three and a half million square meters of industrial land, two thirds of which have been devastated. Thus, as soon as the water level permitted, municipal technicians moved to the area concerned to carry out a visual inspection, identify the black spots on which to intervene and, thus, be able to assess the damage. .
The mayor of Quart de Poblet, Cristina Moraunderlined that from “the first moment” the Town Hall began working on “the design of a roadmap which will allow companies to resume their activity as quickly as possible and avoid the loss of jobs”, according to the town hall in a press release.
To this end, they launched a shock plan, for which they had “the collaboration of numerous multinational companies in the area and were informed, through the president of the employers’ association, of the steps we have taken and help they can access.
After the initial assessment, the Quart de Poblet Town Hall proceeded, by emergency procedure, to award the necessary works to help the municipal media continue clearing the main access routes to the industrial zone.
This will make it easier for businesses to get rid of bulky items that they have placed on public roads.
Furthermore, starting next Monday, November 11, two large work teams will add their efforts to those already carried out in recent days.
One of these teams was created by the City Council, while the other corresponds to a line of work of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) which has deployed different lines of action to promote the recovery of areas industrial.
On Monday, heavy machinery will arrive in Quart de Poblet, including two vats and two shovels, to clear debris and clean all access roads and roads adjacent to the industrial zone, where all types of materials dragged by force have arrived. water. .

Until now, the cleaning work in the industrial zone was difficult because it was not necessary to “hinder” the task of the UME, which inspects the area in search of possible victims.
