The cuckoo and his mother will have to appear before the Supreme Court “within fifteen days”. This is indicated by an order issued by the first section of the Provincial Court of Seville and notified to the parties this Thursday.
This is the consequence of call filed by the parents of Marta del Castillo to request the revocation of their acquittal for crimes of perjury.
When they were sentenced to two years in prison for lying during the trial, which was held in 2011, as witnesses. They were reported by the victim’s family. They also had to pa fine of 1,440 euros and compensation of 30,000 euros to the young woman’s parents.
However, the Provincial Court of Seville acquitted Francisco Javier General Manager (El Cuco) and Rosalía GC (his mother). Regarding the young man, it was indicated that the figure of the co-accused witness “is not legally regulated” and that the Supreme Court has not determined the consequences of not being truthful in his statement.
Concerning his mother, the court held that “he didn’t lie about important matters” for the resolution of the case.
Request for clarification
A few weeks ago, section I of the Court of Seville He rejected the parents’ request to clarify the acquittal of Cuco and his mother.
“It is not possible to achieve no details to the sentence pronounced, whether in the form of correction or supplement as provided, by not appreciating any obscure concept, nor any omission or rectification of an involuntary material or arithmetic error, nor by supplementing it”, ruled the court .

The call

Today, Section I of the Provincial Court of Seville examined the appeal presented and the student in the second chamber of the Supreme Courtwho will be responsible for resolving it.
Finally, the “parties are summoned so that appear before the said Chamber within fifteen days to assert their right”, according to a resolution which “is final”. There is therefore “no recourse” against it.
