Ul Grtch submitted the first comprehensive report on his work on Wednesday. According to this, in the period from June 2024 to June 2025, his position considered a total of 357 cases. Most of them, 279 cases, attracted attention to citizens.
Being a federal police officer, the Grtch is responsible for complaints about or from the ranks of the federal police, the federal police police and the Bundestag police. In addition to the concern of the police officer, the report is devoted to borderline control on German borders.
Another attention: racial profiling. People read a migrant in Germany often complain about checks, which will only occur on the basis of their appearance. Grtsh said that in specific terms, the examination procedure for racist discrimination and racial profiling was initiated in 19 cases. Nevertheless, he, it seems, does not always encounter open ears, as his report shows: there is a disabled management of the federal police, which rejects retraining in racial profiling as not necessarily.
As for border control, the power of Grenets dealt almost exclusively with the complaints of officials. For example, he complains about a Dixilo situation in Bavaria on the border with the Czech Republic and the absence of tents as a shelter in Saarland. The Grtch does not want to comment on the fact that civil servants fulfill renunciations on the borders that were recently classified by the Berlin administrative court in one case. Nevertheless, he would like “legitimate confidence” for police officers.
“There is no marginal phenomenon”
Clara Bunger from the left parliamentary group is criticized by the fact that the numbers mentioned by the Greek for racial profiling do not reflect reality: “This is not a marginal phenomenon, but everyday life for many people. Therefore, 19 examination is not too few.
