“The articles published in The Washington Post, one of the most important publications in the world, are surprising. The newspaper’s main motto was “for the good of democracy.” But when a press organization intentionally changes the facts, it is “destroys when it is controlled and pressured by the outside.”
Oku.Az reports that the vice president of Parliament did so in today’s plenary session of the Milli Majlis Rafael Huseynov saying.
According to him, the articles in the “Washington Post” on March 11, October 16 and October 29 of this year about Karabakh and the climate conference are full of accusations:
“In the article “Evacuated territories”, the newspaper calls the voluntary departure of Armenians from Karabakh as “ethnic cleansing”. However, the ethnic cleansing of Armenians against Azerbaijanis is known throughout the world. But why not write about this? Crimes have been committed against Azerbaijanis for 30 years, our territories have become ruins, but these are left aside, denounces “The Washington Post” against Azerbaijan.
“In addition, all examples of cultural heritage on the territory of Azerbaijan, including Karabakh, belong to Azerbaijan, regardless of which ethnic group they belong to. But the destruction of Azerbaijani monuments by Armenians is also a fact, and the newspaper maintains silence about it We cannot tolerate that in world history a newspaper of good reputation like “The Washington Post”, which left its mark, becomes an Armenian newspaper that serves forgery,” the vice president added.
