Rajoy asks to “look to the future” after Mazón’s “humble and responsible” explanations on the management of DANA

The former president of the government Mariano Rajoy affirms that the president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, gave explanations “with humility and responsibility” after the DANA which devastated the province of Valencia. “I think that at the moment the only reasonable thing is to look to the future,” he stressed.

This is what the former president of the Central Executive spoke this Wednesday, in statements to the media in Valencia, where he chaired the meeting of the jury of the XXXIII Coexistence Prize organized by the Professor Manuel Broseta Foundation, when he was asked if he thought Mazón should resign because of the leadership of the DANA.

In this context, Rajoy argued that Mazón appeared in Les Corts and “gave the explanations”, according to him “with humility and responsibility“. “He said he would do everything in his power to ensure that, as quickly as possible, normality returns, what people want, that they receive help, that the infrastructure is as it is. were before these events”, bombed.

“Quite frankly, I think that right now the only reasonable thing, the only thing that can be done right now, is to look to the future, because what lies ahead is not going to be easy, you’re going to have to work a lot“, he stressed.

Questioned by the decree approved this Tuesday by the Consell which includes a provision that allows the new positions of the Valencian government to receive a salary higher than 15% higher than that of Mazón, because limited until now, Rajoy declared that he “ignored” this matter. “I cannot comment on things that I do not know and which are not part of my life at the moment,” he concluded.
