Investigations were carried out into violations of law discovered in the activities of the National Academy of Sciences and it was revealed that there was a large amount of embezzlement of funds. It was noted that these attacks took place during the time of former ANAS president Ramiz Mehdiyev.
Manset.az contacted former ANAS president Ramiz Mehdiyev. In his statement he tried to avoid questions related to the topic at hand:
“Who’s talking? I’m telling you, who’s talking? What do you want from me? Stop! Who is filing a criminal case against me? Mind your business.”
It should be noted that investigations related to the discovered violations of the law and the presence of bribery were sent to the General Anti-Corruption Office under the Attorney General’s Office and a criminal case was initiated.
