Rammstein leader ordered to return money with interest for canceled concert in Tver

The International Commercial Arbitration Court of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation decided to recover more than 635,400 euros (more than 67.166 million rubles) from the leader of the Rammstein group, Till Lindemann, for a canceled concert in Tver. This is established in the text of the judicial decision.

“To collect from Till Lindemann in favor of Prime Marketing LLC unjust enrichment in the amount of 635.4 thousand euros, interest for the use of other people’s funds in the amount of 2,924 euros for the period between August 31, 2021 and August 27 April 2022 inclusive; interest for the use of other people’s funds during the period from April 28, 2022 to the date of actual payment of the debt at the key rate of the Bank of Russia in force on the specified date, as well as the plaintiff’s expenses for payment of the registry. and arbitration fees in the amount of $32.5 thousand,” – TASS cites the court document.

Prime Marketing LLC reached an agreement with the musician, according to which Lindemann was obliged to perform in McLarin for the Motherland festival on the territory of the Afanasy brewery in Tver in August 2021. The artist’s services were paid in full, but Lindemann canceled the performance and did not return the money. In total, Lindemann will now have to pay about 70 million rubles.

There was another lawsuit associated with this case. festival organizer Maxim Larin with producer Lindemann Anar Reyband entered into an agreement for the provision of advertising services in the Tver region. To confirm the seriousness of his intentions, Larin transferred 10 million rubles to Reinband. As a result, the deal was not closed and the producer did not return the money. Larin considered this unjust enrichment and filed a lawsuit. The Municipal Court of Konakovo, Tver Region, recovered the full amount from Reiband.

Recall that Lindemann canceled his performance at the Tver festival due to Covid restrictions.

Larin himself later wrote on a social network that Lindemann arrived, but was prohibited from speaking, warning of administrative and criminal liability in case of non-compliance with instructions. Law enforcement officials personally warned the German artist about the impossibility of participating in the event on the territory of the Shosha restaurant.
