Real Madrid has suspended concerts scheduled at the Santiago Bernabéu until March 2025 to adapt the stadium to municipal noise regulations. Madrid City Council warned the club on Monday that it must further strengthen measures so that the Ordinance on protection against acoustic and thermal pollution.
Last weekend, concerts returned to the “white” temple with a double concert by the group Aventura. Despite the measures applied by the club in recent months and other initiatives agreed with the City Council, police reports were drawn up indicating that “they had not been sufficient”.
These reports still need to be validated by the municipal technicians of the Urban Planning Zone, but they indicate, in any case, that there is still “margin of conformity” of the regulation.
In a month, on October 12, the Music Bank World Tour was to take place, one of the most important festivals of Korean K-Pop music. On December 28 and 29, it was Aitana’s turn, who performed for the first time at the Bernabéu. A few months later, on March 22, a concert by the artist Lola Índigo is scheduled.
After complaints from the neighborhood about the first concerts organized at the new Bernabéu, the City Hall and Real Madrid They agreed to limit the end time of concerts to 11:00 p.m.Rehearsal times have also been restricted and the cleaning system has been strengthened.
In turn, the club has implemented a noise level control plan, with improvements in the isolation of open areas and closure of points in the stadium where they detected that the decibels were escaping.
In addition, the requirements have been raised for promoters to be able to organise their shows at the Bernabéu. They are obliged, for example, to send in advance the details on the technical-acoustic conditions of the show.
