Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated the Head of our State on the confident victory of the New Azerbaijan Party in the parliamentary elections held in Azerbaijan.
The President of Turkey stressed the importance of these elections being the first parliamentary elections held across the territory of our country after the full restoration of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty. Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that the elections were held in free and democratic conditions and reflected the will of the Azerbaijani people.
President Ilham Aliyev thanked the congratulations.
During the telephone conversation, the importance of interparliamentary relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey and regular mutual visits of parliamentary delegations were mentioned. At the same time, it was reported that the interparliamentary friendship group of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey participated in these elections in our country as an observer.
During the conversation, views were exchanged on the prospects for fraternal relations and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
