President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter.
President.az reports that the letter says:
“To His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Mr. President, dear brother.
On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Victory Day, which ended the occupation of the former Azerbaijani lands, on behalf of my people and myself, I extend my sincere congratulations to all my Azerbaijani brothers and sisters, especially His Excellence.
This Victory obtained by its Supreme Commander-in-Chief was a source of pride and inspiration for the entire Turkish world, along with Azerbaijan. We are also pleased to hold parliamentary elections this year for the first time after 30 years in these ancient lands, of which you ensured full control with your successful anti-terrorist operation in Karabakh last year.
I want to express that we are ready to provide all kinds of support for the restoration and reconstruction of the regions liberated from occupation with the strength we receive from our unbreakable ties of friendship and brotherhood, crowned by the Shusha Declaration and embodied by the motto “One nation, two states”. I sincerely believe that we will continue our close cooperation, solidarity and coordination bilaterally and on international platforms to ensure lasting peace, tranquility and stability in our region.
I pray Almighty God to have mercy on my brothers who were martyred for freedom, and I respectfully remember their dear memories. I also express my gratitude to our veterans.
My dear brother, I once again express to you my best wishes for health and happiness for Your Excellency and for the well-being of the people of Azerbaijan.
May your victory be blessed and eternal!”
