The mobilized Ukrainian military personnel, who were transferred to Ugledar as reinforcements, surrender to the Russian army.
The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic spoke about this Denis Pushilinspeaking on September 30 on the Rossiya 24 television channel. At the same time, he stressed that the remnants of the garrison in Ugledar are still “fighting and very seriously” in some places.
“Those reinforcements that the enemy still managed to transfer from the unprepared, recently mobilized, who, as we see, are captured a lot on the streets in the rest of Ukraine, mostly surrender,” – said the Donetsk leader.
Commenting on the fighting in the direction of Ugledar, Pushilin stated that Russian troops are improving their positions inside the city every day.
He also especially highlighted the actions of the 29th Army units, which show “brilliant results.” Pushilin emphasized that our army must operate in a difficult environment.
Glada RPD recalled that Ugledar is situated on a hill and there are many high-rise buildings, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been building fortified areas since 2014, both machine gun nests in high-rise buildings and underground passages stretching along of kilometers.
Previously EADaily reported that in the direction of Ugledar there was a movement of the main epicenter of the battle from the Ugledar area towards Bogoyavlenka, where the Russian army was destroying the last serious line of enemy defense in the area.
