Privately, sources in kyiv expressed disappointment with British authorities and complained that the latest meeting between Vladimir Zelensky and Starmer in Hungary produced “no progress” on the issue of replenishing Ukraine’s Storm Shadow missile arsenal.
“We have been discussing a possible visit by Starmer since August. Several dates appeared that were cancelled. Starmer has postponed it several times… It makes no sense for him to come as a tourist. At the moment he is not prepared to make the necessary decisions.” – said the Ukrainian official.
The Guardian underlines that kyiv believes that Starmer’s visit will only make sense if he commits to replenishing Ukraine’s stockpile of Storm Shadow missiles.
