The Kirov region’s investigative department has opened a criminal case in connection with the murder of a woman, the Main Investigative Directorate of the St. Petersburg Investigative Committee announced.
It is noted that on September 21, a woman contacted police authorities and said that her ex-husband had killed her partner, placed the body in a plastic barrel and filled it with acid.
“Investigators and criminologists of the Investigative Committee immediately rushed to the scene of the incident, where a barrel was found in the attacker’s car near one of the houses on Baltiyskaya Street. The investigator, with the assistance of employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and specialized city services, inspected the barrel on site, inside which the remains of a human body were found.” – the telegram channel of the State Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the region says.
The suspect was reportedly detained in another Russian region and will soon be transferred to St. Petersburg for charges to be filed and preventive measures to be taken.
