Residents of the municipality of Renedo de Esgueva in Valladolid managed to collect 2,080 signatures to demand decent transportation that connects them to the capital, given that the current bus offers very few frequencies and practically none on weekends.
The collection of signatures was carried out both in the center of Renedo and in the three urbanizations of a city with more than 4,000 inhabitants, so that the two thousand obtained (minors cannot sign) are considered a success by the promoter of the platform. protests.
These supports have already been deposited in the register of the Territorial Delegation of the Council of Valladolid, an action that was carried out by the inhabitants of Renedo and the mayor of the municipality, Jesús Marín Bastardo, who will meet this Wednesday the territorial delegate, Raquel Alonso, to express the need to significantly improve the frequencies of buses that connect the capital of Valladolid.
While waiting to know the result of the meeting and if there is a possibility that the Junta de Castilla y León, competent in the matter, “makes a gesture”, the residents’ platform could call for new mobilizations to achieve their demands . In this sense, they denounce the difficulties of being able to get to Valladolid with a bus which, for example, only has five frequencies in the morning, in the case of urbanizations like Casasola, and even on weekends without any frequency.
