Renfe establishes an alternative plan for the Cercanías C1, C2 and C3 lines affected by DANA in Valencia

Renfe set up as of Wednesday, November 13, a alternative plan transport for services to lines C1, C2 and C3 of the Noyau de Surroundings of Valencia after the suspension of train services on October 29, due to damage to infrastructure caused by DANA.

The company, to ensure road service, has scheduled 112 free buses which will carry out 1,022 daily movements with an offer of 56,000 places each day for the three lines. Buses will stop at all locations on corridors not served by commuter services. The road service budget is 11.3 million euros. This is a very important step in the recovery of mobility in the Valencia metropolitan area since 82,000 travelers use the Cercanías network daily.

Therefore, from tomorrow, Wednesday November 13, practically all services will be provided by train and bus. 52% by rail and 47% by road. Bus services will be free.

By routes

Line C1, Valencia-Gandia: A train is scheduled every half hour from Gandia station to Silla. A direct bus service is established between Silla and València with a basic frequency of 10 minutes on weekdays, which will be reinforced depending on existing demand. The starting point will be in València Joaquín Sorolla while the return point will be in València Estació del Nord.

In the line C2,Valencia-Xàtiva-Moixent: Renfe has scheduled a train every half hour between the stations of Xàtiva and Carcaixent, where users will transfer to a bus to continue their journey to the Valencian capital. Passengers traveling to or from Moixent will have a train from Moixent to Carcaixent every hour, from where they will transfer to a bus to Valencia.

5 bus lines are scheduled: 4 direct bus lines between València and Carcaixent, Alzira, Algemesí and Benifaió with frequencies between 15 and 30 minutes on weekdays and a bus line with intermediate stops to Silla.

In the line C3, Valence-Buñol-Utiel: The usual number of routes are offered by road, from Utiel-Requena to València and intermediate stops. In this case, departures will start from Plaza de España and arrivals at València Estació del Nord. There will be no stop in Cheste due to the complicated situation.

The first buses will leave Silla station towards València and Carcaixent station at 5:00 a.m. From Valence station direction Utiel at 6:30 a.m. The last bus service will depart at 10:30 p.m. on C1 and C2 and at 10:05 p.m. on C3.

Medium distance services

In addition, the Media Distancia service enters Xàtiva and Alcoi with the usual frequency of passage. For their part, Media Distancia services from Alcázar de San Juan-Albacete – València will continue from November 13 to and from Xàtiva with Cercanías services and complementary buses.

New WhatsApp service Cercanías València

Likewise, from Wednesday November 13, Renfe is launching a new channel of information of Cercanías València for its users through the application WhatsApp.

This is a form of one-way communication with which the company will broadcast everything related to the status of the Cercanías València service, from reviews, incidentsnews on alternative transportation plans or service restoration, among other things.
