Renfe launches new direct AVE between Catalonia and Andalusia

This Monday, September 16, the service of new direct AVE between Catalonia and AndalusiaThis new service will allow travel between Barcelona and Malaga or Cordoba without the need to transfer.

This direct AVE service will have new frequencies, which will be scheduled from the first hour to the last hour of the day, thus improving the time invested in this journey between communities.

Departure times of the new AVE Barcelona – Malaga – Cordoba

Renfe high-speed trains will carry out the following operations: Departures Monday to Friday:

  • Departure from Sants station (Barcelona) at 5:50 a.m., arrival in Malaga at 12:36 p.m.
  • Departure from Malaga at 5:57 p.m., arrival in Sants at 11:55 p.m.

This line will also make intermediate stops in Camp of Tarragona And Pyrenees of Lleida.

Renfe is thus expanding its offer of 14,000 weekly seats between the two autonomous communities, in addition to offering “numerous combined travel options, under a single, guaranteed ticket”, as announced in its official press release.

The news comes after a weekend of delays caused by various Delays at Atocha stations And Incidents at Sants stationThe tension caused by these delays at Renfe has added to the Dismissal of the President of ADIF reported by Minister Oscar Puente.
