“Bangladesh, where I am a citizen, is one of the most vulnerable areas in the world from this point of view. Climate change has a great impact on our country.”
These words Oku.Az-The representative of the “Climate Route” community, Sumaiya Binte Selim Sudha, said in a statement.
He said that the people in the region where he lives are always fighting because they are tolerant.
“They like to address problems. We have some adaptation methods to combat climate change. Our region is like an organization of the government and civil society of the country. There are ideas about various initiatives for disaster preparedness in the country. We also have a cohort (military unit) to combat climate change”.
The representative also emphasized that, as a developing country, they also need financial resources to combat the consequences of climate change:
“My impressions of COP29 are positive. It is a very good environment in which we will have discussions on providing financial assistance to developing countries. I think it will be a promising and positive step for us.”
