RFEF calls elections after Pedro Rocha’s disqualification

After last Thursday, the Administrative Court did not accept the interim measure and Pedro Rocha will be disqualified for two yearsThis Friday a meeting was held at the headquarters of Royal Spanish Football Federation.

In addition to forming a management commission to run the RFEF in the absence of a president, presidential elections were called.

First of all The Assembly will be renewed and a new president will then be elected. who will remain in office for the next four years, so there will be double elections.

The decision was taken on the basis of the Federation’s statutes, in particular its Article 31.8: “In the event of the President’s termination for a reason other than the end of his term, the Board of Directors shall constitute the Management Committee and call elections to fill the position; the person elected shall hold the position for a term equal to the time remaining to be filled by the person replaced.”

Of course, it is worth mentioning Rocha, disqualified for exceeding his duties after the dismissal of Luis Rubiales, I can still appeal and ask for another precaution to try to run for office.
