Rubén Gisbert, the political agitator and former collaborator of the program Horizon by Iker Jiménez, once again tried to monetize the DANA tragedy with a new hoax. In this case, last Monday evening (9 p.m.), a video was broadcast on the social network X (formerly Twitter) in which two people appear loading several coffins into a van.
In his message, Gisbert assures the following: “On November 18, 2024 at 9:01 p.m. on Antonio Carpio Street, between Filiberto Rodrigo and Emili Ferrer (Catarroja) 20 DAYS LATER, neighbors report that bodies continue to appear in garages that the neighbors “They couldn’t clean it up and the firefighters started bailing out.”
With this post, Gisbert continues his story that authorities are hiding the real number of victims. A few weeks ago, he uploaded several videos to his social networks in which he claimed that there were 700 dead in the parking lot of the Bonaire shopping center. “It’s a graveyard that you politicians have turned the mall into,” he claimed, citing completely credible sources. Finally, once the scene was cleared, there was not a single victim.
The influencer of Valencian origin, lawyer by training and founder of the Democratic Junta of Spain in 2020, was fired – it is not clear if definitively – from the program Horizon directed by journalist Iker Jiménez, and which has just been kicked off YouTube. The facts that prompted the sanction were that he was knee-deep in mud to give a live performance and thus give the impression that he was working on the restoration work at the so-called Ground Zero of DANA.
On November 24, he is organizing a demonstration in Madrid and Valencia. Although he usually boasts that he does not identify with any political party, he is common in programs such as Alarm statusby Javier Negre, for example. The facts
Gisbert starts from a real event, but manipulates it to make it seem like he is a victim of DANA. On Monday, around mid-afternoon, an “elderly” person died in Catarroja – according to town hall sources. The cause of death appears to be a heart attack. The death occurred on the third floor – although the information is not exact – at number 16 of Calle del Torero Antonio Carpio, but it has nothing to do with DANA. What the town hall denies, and several witnesses corroborated Eldiario.es, is that it appeared in a garage.
Since the death has nothing to do with the tragedy that devastated the city and a large part of the province of Valencia, he is not one of the victims counted to date. Indeed, between Sunday and Tuesday, no deaths were added to the 219 recorded. Gisbert uses this fact to suggest that the administrations (in this case, the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community, responsible for carrying out autopsies) are lying.
