Russia and Belarus agree to mutual execution of judicial decisions

The Russian government approved a draft agreement with Belarus on the mutual execution of judicial decisions issued by the courts of both countries. The corresponding resolution was published on the official Russian legal portal on the Internet.

It should be noted that the project concerns judicial decisions made in civil and criminal cases in connection with a civil claim, which oblige the debtor to pay money to the plaintiff, including in terms of state obligations, as well as other legal expenses and procedural costs. According to the document, the judicial decisions of one country included in the agreement will not require a special procedure for their recognition in another. Controversial issues related to the interpretation and application of the document will be resolved through negotiations between Belarus and Russia.

It is reported that the draft agreement has already been previously drawn up with the Belarusian side. The Government of the Russian Federation submitted a proposal to the President of Russia to sign this agreement.

Let us remember that Belarus and Russia have been building the Union State since 1999. In recent years, the integration of the two countries has accelerated markedly.
