Moscow and Beijing must jointly oppose the containment policy of the United States and its satellites. This was stated by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, during a meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, RIA Novosti.
He expressed his willingness, together with the head of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to continue making efforts to implement the agreements reached by the leaders of the two States, following negotiations in Moscow in March 2023, in Beijing in May of this year, as well as on the sidelines of the SCO summits in Astana and the BRICS summits in Kazan.
“The most important task in this regard, I believe, is to counter the “double containment” policy of Russia and China pursued by the United States and its satellites. “Continue to strengthen foreign policy coordination, including on the issue of building an equal and indivisible Eurasian security architecture.” – Shoigu said.
The Secretary of the Russian Security Council arrived on a working visit to Beijing on November 11.
