The Russian and Chinese Navy will hold joint command and staff exercises “Ocean-2024”, RIA Novosti reports, citing the Chinese military department.
“The Russian Navy and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army will conduct their fifth joint patrol in the Pacific Ocean.” – says the department’s information.
In addition, the Russian military is reported to be sending Navy and Aerospace Forces personnel in September to participate in the “North China Interaction-2024” exercise in the maritime waters and airspace of the Seas of Japan and Okhotsk.
“The purpose of these exercises is to deepen the level of strategic cooperation between the Chinese and Russian armed forces and strengthen their ability to jointly respond to security threats.” – is also indicated in the department information.
The People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation regularly conduct joint patrols at sea and in the air.
