Russia And Ukraine they exchanged this Friday 95 prisoners of war each in a completed agreement with the help of the United Arab Emirates acting as mediatorthe Russian Defense Ministry reported.
In a message posted on messaging app Telegram, the ministry said returning Russian servicemen were undergoing medical checks at Belarusone of Russia’s closest allies in this war which has lasted for more than two and a half years.
There is no news yet of this exchange from Ukrainian authorities.
Most Russian prisoners returned they were allegedly captured in the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces launched an incursion last August.
The last exchange, involving 103 prisoners from both sides, took place last September.
