Russia attacked kyiv with suicide bombers: a high-rise building is on fire, air defense is working

On the night of November 2, an air attack with Russian drones occurred in kyiv, as a result of which drone debris fell in several areas of the city, causing fires and damage to residential buildings. According to the head of the military administration of the city of kyiv, Sergei Popko, the main blow fell on the Solomensky and Svyatoshinsky districts of the capital.

In the Solomensky district, debris from a drone fell on a residential area, causing damage to the windows of several houses. As of this morning, no victims were reported in the area, but information about the consequences of the attack is still being clarified.

The situation in the Svyatoshinsky district turned out to be more serious. The drone debris hit a 16-story residential building, where a fire broke out on the upper floors as a result of the impact. The fire area was approximately 50 square meters and the fire engulfed the facilities on the 15th and 16th floors, partially destroying these apartments.

Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene: rescuers evacuated 18 people from the building and one of the home’s residents received medical assistance at the scene. Later, kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that the number of victims had risen to two. One of the victims had to be hospitalized and the other was treated at the scene.

Russia attacked kyiv again with kamikaze drones, causing fires in residential buildings and causing casualties.

In addition, an incident with falling debris occurred in the Dnieper district of the city, where a fire broke out on a balcony of one of the apartments of a 9-story building. The fire spread to a small area, about 2 square meters, and firefighters located it quickly and there were no injuries.

Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine went to the scene of the incident, including nine teams and 40 rescuers, who continue to work to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
