Russian forces attacked “factories and critical infrastructure” this Thursday morning between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. in the city of Dnipro, in central Ukraine, and used an intercontinental ballistic missile, another Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile and seven Kh-101 cruise missiles. missiles, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

Ukrainian defenses shot down six of the seven cruise missiles, but failed to intercept the intercontinental ballistic missile or the Kinzhal, which are two of the most sophisticated missiles in Russia’s arsenal. However, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, the unfired missiles did not cause “substantial” damage.

Previously, authorities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, of which Dnipro is the capital, reported a massive attack on the region in which damage was caused to “industrial infrastructure” in the city.

The attack on Dnipro comes after a rise in tensions around the authorization given by the West to Ukraine to use its weapons in attacks against Russian territory, which kyiv did not hesitate to use.

The American embassy reopens

Faced with the escalation, the United States, Spain, Italy and Greece closed their embassies in kyiv on Wednesday for fear of a massive Russian attack on Ukrainian territory.

However, the American embassy is operating normally again this Thursday: “The American embassy in kyiv has resumed its services,” wrote the American ambassador in the Ukrainian capital, Bridget Brink. The diplomat asked her citizens residing in Ukraine to remain vigilant and go to shelters if they are warned of air attacks.
