Ukraine calls for the investigation of messages about the use of chemical weapons in Russia

Today, on Tuesday, Ukraine asked the organization on the ban on chemical weapons in the Hague to investigate the use of prohibited ammunition against the Ukrainian forces, Reuters reports.

Kyiv submitted a request for an investigation to the relevant authorities.

This happened after the Dutch and German intelligence stated on Friday that they have evidence of Russia’s use of illegal weapons on a large scale along the confrontation line.

In a statement by the Executive Council of the organization, the general director of the organization of the organization of chemical weapons of Fernando Arias said in a statement by the executive council of the organization.

The organization formed a similar team in 2018 to explore the accusations of using chemical weapons in Syria. The investigative group concluded that the Syrian government forces and militants of ISIS used forbidden chemical weapons in the civil war, which erupted in March 2011.

The United States first accused Russia of last May of the use of chlorpakrin, a more toxic chemical compound than the materials used in the riots, and Germany first used it during the World War.

The organization, which is engaged in disarmament based on the Hague and includes 193 states, member states last year that the initial charges exchanged by both parties for war are “not supported by sufficient evidence.”

Both sides deny the use of chemical weapons in the conflict, which worsened when Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.

“Ukraine asks for this request from the general director of the organization on the ban on chemical weapons to take steps to create an independent and impartial mechanism to investigate cases of the alleged use of chemical weapons in Ukraine,” Reuters said, from which a copy of Reuters.

The request called to provide the mechanism with the authority to “collect additional evidence and determine the identity of criminals, organizers and sponsors for this use.”

The Dutch military intelligence service said that at least 3 Ukrainian deaths are associated with the use of chemical weapons, while more than 2500 people were injured in the battlefield of Ukrainian healthcare bodies in relation to symptoms associated with chemical weapons.

On Monday, Britain aimed at two Russian people and a Russian enterprise as part of its regime on its chemical weapons, in its latest efforts to punish Moscow for invasion of Ukraine.
