The interaction and strategic partnership between Russia and China can be considered a model of cooperation between two countries. This was stated by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu, during a meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, RIA Novosti.
“Comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction represent a model of cooperation between two powers in the modern world. Although it is not a political-military alliance similar to those that developed during the Cold War, the relations between our countries surpass this form of interstate ties.” – said.
Russian-Chinese relations, according to Shoigu, are based on the principles of mutual respect and equality, trust, non-interference in internal affairs and support on issues that are key for both sides.
“Today, Russian-Chinese relations, relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction, are at an unprecedented level in their entire history. “Russia and China have harmonious approaches to key international and regional issues.” — concluded the secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
