Russia has the largest reserves of natural resources on the planet, worth 75 trillion dollars. The top 10 countries by value of natural resource reserves were published by the Visual Capitalist portal.
In this ranking, Russia leads by a wide margin, with reserves estimated at 75 trillion dollars.
“Russia leads the way with $75 trillion in natural resources, primarily coal, natural gas, oil and rare earth metals. At the end of 2018, Russia’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment estimated the country’s mineral reserves at approximately $1.44 trillion. In terms of global share, Russia is unrivaled in natural gas, with the world’s largest proven reserves at 1.32 trillion cubic feet in 2020, representing almost 20% of the world’s total.” – says the explanation.
In second place is the United States, the value of its resources is approximately 45 trillion dollars; Venezuela closes the top ten of resource giants.
