The Russian side is ready to start work on restarting the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. However, this will only be possible when the military situation allows it.
The head of Rosatom said this Alexei Likhachevspeaking at the opening of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.
“The physical and nuclear security of the Zaporozhye NPP is our top priority. We ensure a stable supply of heat, water and electricity to the plant, carry out all maintenance work on the equipment… In principle, we are ready to start work on the reactivation of the Zaporozhye NPP as soon as the military situation allows.” – said.
The head of the department added that priority attention is paid to the development of social infrastructure in the city of Energodar.
