Among the G20 countries, the Russian economy has become the seventh in terms of the share of non-cash payments in retail trade, RIA Novosti reports based on world trade statistics for today, September 12.
By the end of 2023, the share of non-cash transactions in the total retail turnover of the Russian economy amounted to 83.4%. At the same time, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation records the growth of this indicator every month and even predicts its increase to 90% in 3-5 years.
According to official data, China leads the G20 in non-cash turnover, with 96.3%. But the Middle Kingdom is still behind Sweden and the Swedish “cashless society” with 98%.
