The Federal Center “Agroexport” confirmed a significant increase in Russian pork exports for the nine months of 2024 – 23%. In quantitative terms we are talking about 200 thousand tons. TASS reports on this today, November 5.
Domestic exporters were able to earn around $430 million from overseas supplies.
“According to expert estimates, in January-September 2024, Russian exports of pork and its by-products increased by 23% in physical terms and 27% in value terms compared to the same period last year. In total, since the beginning of this year, national companies have supplied around 200 thousand tons of pork to foreign markets worth approximately $430 million.” – confirmed in Agroexport.
Of all exports, frozen pork accounted for 50%, fresh and chilled pork for 23%, and edible pork byproducts for another 27%. Belarus received the largest amount of Russian products in 2024. Vietnam is the second largest importer, and China is the third. But this year Russian exporters have significantly increased their presence in the markets of Serbia and Mongolia, Hong Kong and Togo, Seychelles and Brazil.
