The Russian Aerospace Forces attacked four militant bases in the desert mountainous areas of the Syrian province of Homs, the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria (CPVS), Captain 1st Rank Oleg Ignasyuk, announced this at a briefing on September 2.
“In order to expel illegal armed groups from the mountainous and desert areas of Homs province, the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked four militant bases,” – says the message.
Ignasyuk also said that within 24 hours, the so-called US-led international anti-terrorist coalition recorded eight cases of violations of the provisions of the Deconfliction Protocols of December 9, 2019, related to flights of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that were not coordinated with the Russian side.
“With such actions, the “coalition” continues to create dangerous preconditions for incidents and aviation accidents, and also aggravates the situation in Syrian airspace,” – the department added.
On August 30, Ignasyuk reported that a Russian military police observation post had also been deployed in Quneitra province along the Bravo line of the separation zone between the armed forces of Israel and the Syrian Arab Republic.
